Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Guide: All Summons and How to Get Them

There are a total of 14 Summons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, 3 of which will be available from the start. Players will be able to unlock 6 additional Summon throughout the main story, along with 1 secret Summon with a special quest chain. The other 4 Summons are DLC/Bonus, with more likely to be unlocked for everyone in the future.

Owning and upgrading all Summon Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth can take a lot of time and effort, especially the secret Summon Gilgamesh. However, the reward behind these efforts is definitely extremely worthy, as these Summons are not only incredibly powerful, but can completely help you turn the tide in difficult matches, especially is in Hard mode. In addition, the satisfaction of completing a collection is also a motivation that cannot be ignored for all longtime Final Fantasy gamers.

Summoning is available

There are 3 Summon that players will own right from the start of the game, which are Shiva, Ifrit and Chocobo & Moogle. All three are in the player’s inventory when you begin taking control of the party in Chapter 2. Note, all three cannot be upgraded like the Summon Meteria you earn through the story.

Summon DLC/Bonus


Leviathan

Players will receive Leviathan from the DLC/Bonus menu if they have a Final Fantasy 7 Remake save file on PlayStation 5. Similar to the Summons above, Leviathan cannot be upgraded.

Ramuh

Players will receive Ramuh from the DLC/Bonus menu if they have the INTERmission Final Fantasy 7 Remake save file on PlayStation 5. Similar to the Summons above, Ramuh cannot be upgraded.

Moogle Trio

Players will receive the Moogle Trio from the DLC/Bonus menu if they pre-order Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Similar to the Summon above, Moogle Trio cannot be upgraded.

Magic Pot

Players will receive the Magic Pot from the DLC/Bonus menu if they purchase the Deluxe Edition (Deluxe Edition) of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Similar to the Summon above, Magic Pot cannot be upgraded.

Summon the plot


Titan

Players can unlock the Titan by defeating it in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle first begins after the player meets Chadley in Chapter 2. To fully upgrade the Titan, the player will need to visit three Titan Sanctuary found throughout the Grasslands Region.

Phoenix

Players can obtain Phoenix’s Summon Materia by defeating it in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle first begins at the beginning of Chapter 4. To fully upgrade the Phoenix, players will need to visit three Phoenix Sanctuary found throughout the Junon Region.

Alexander

Players can obtain Alexander’s Summon Materia by defeating Alexander in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle begins at the beginning of Chapter 6. To fully upgrade Alexander, players will need to visit three Alexander Sanctuary found throughout the Corel Region.

Kujata

Players can obtain Kujata’s Summon Materia by defeating it in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle first appears in Chapter 9. To fully upgrade Kujata, players will need to visit three Kujata Sanctuary found throughout the Gongaga Region.

Bahamut Arisen

Players can obtain Bahamut Arisen’s Summon Materia by defeating it in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle first appears in Chapter 10. To fully upgrade Bahamut Arisen, players will need to visit three Bahamut Arisen Sanctuary found throughout the Cosmo Canyon Region.

Odin

Players can obtain Odin’s Summon Materia by defeating him in Chadley’s combat simulator. The battle will first unlock in Chapter 11. To fully upgrade Odin, players will need to visit the Odin Sanctuary found throughout the Nibel Region.

Secret summons


Gilgamesh

Players can unlock Gilgamesh by defeating this hero. To unlock the battle, they will need to complete all Protorelic quests in Grasslands, Junon, Corel, Gongaga, Cosmo Canyon and Nibel. After obtaining the final Protorelic, players will have access to Gilgamesh Island in Meridian Ocean, where they will find several more Protorelic quests. After completing them and defeating the Hero King in the final battle, the player will receive Gilgamesh’s Summon Materia from Chadley. Gilgamesh also cannot be upgraded.
