Baldur’s Gate 3 won big at the Golden Joystick Awards 2023

Baldur’s Gate 3 won in the categories of best story, best visual design, studio of the year, best game community, PC game of the year and top game of the year. Actor Neil Newbon, who plays Astarion, also received the award for Best Supporting Actor.

This is the only time in the 41-year history of the Golden Joystick Awards that a game has won seven wins across all categories.

Final Fantasy 16 was the second-placed title with awards for Best Sound Design and Best Actor going to Ben Starr, who plays Clive Rosfield.

  • Critics’ Choice Award – Alan Wake II​

  • Best Actor – Ben Starr, Final Fantasy XVI​

  • Best Supporting Actor – Neil Newborn, Astarion, Baldur’s Gate 3​

  • Nintendo Game of the Year – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom​
