According to The Chinese Room’s latest development update video, the main character of Bloodlines 2 is Phyre, an Elder vampire who has just woken up from a 100-year sleep and is a bit confused by modern-day Seattle. The vampire Phyre, for reasons yet to be revealed, carries a mysterious symbol on his hand connected to a voice belonging to a modern vampire named Fabien – who is bound to Phyre, playing the role of The role is like a companion who is always present when the character goes on an adventure.
As a story-driven RPG, Bloodlines 2 will offer a variety of ways for players to shape their experience beyond the usual dialogue tree implementation. For example, the choice of guild will affect the character’s powers, which can be enhanced and adjusted through the emotional resonance of the prey before being bitten. Even factors like the player’s clothing choices can affect how other characters react to Phyre.
Bloodlines 2 is the sequel to the game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines released in 2004, a cult classic remains hugely popular almost two decades later despite a troubled production.
