Two spin-offs of Detective Conan will be adapted into anime

Yesterday (October 4), Shogakukan announced that 2 spinoffs of manga Detective Conan will be converted into anime, which are Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san (Hanzawa Culprit) and Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time (Zero’s Tea Party). Shogakukan also released a short teaser introducing these two anime series.

Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san is a manga series created by Mayuko Kanba, first published in Shonen Sunday S magazine in May 2017. Currently this series has 5 volumes and is preparing to release. The 6th episode will be released in Japan on October 18. Detective Conan: Hannin no Hanzawa-san mainly revolves around shadow criminals who frequently appear in the main series – representing mysterious culprits.

Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time is a side story written by author Takahiro Arai, first appearing in Weekly Shone Sunday in May 2018. This manga only started releasing more chapters after the main manga by author Gosho Aoyama temporarily stopped updating new chapters. The 5th episode of Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time is expected to be released on October 18.

Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time mainly revolves around the daily lives of the “triple agent” agent, who is known as Furuya Rei of the National Police Agency, private detective and Café waiter Poirot Amuro Toru and member of the Bourbon Black Organization. It is currently unclear when these two anime series will officially air.
