The game publisher from South Korea seems to have revealed a sequel to Subnautica along with the game’s launch in 2025. Latest Subnautica game – Subnautica: Below Zeroreleased on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in January 2019.
Subnautica: Below Zero, the sequel to the original game (2014) expanded the universe of the series. The game’s surprise ending has had many people speculating about what a sequel might come with over the past few years. Although Liam Tart, the lead artist on the two Subnautica games, has hinted that fans won’t have to wait too long until Next Subnautica game released but did not reveal a specific release date. Recently, Kraftonthe company acquired the developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment has partly answered the questions of fans of the game series.
Krafton revealed in its earnings report that it is aiming to launch the next Subnautica game in 2025. The report also confirmed the upcoming game will still be an adventure survival game and is Developed by Unknown Worlds.
The next Subnautica title is one of more than 32 games that Krafton plans to release between 2024 and 2026. These games include the Black Budget, Gold Rush and Windless projects. Black Budget will be a PvPvE shooter, Gold Rush an action-adventure sandbox game, and Windless could be an action role-playing game. The publisher’s life simulation game – inZOI is also part of the release plan between 2024 and 2026.
