Persona 5 Tacticathe new tactical role-playing game from ATLUSscheduled for release on November 17, 2023 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation4, PlayStation5, Nintendo Switch and Steam.
The newest installment of the brand Personas 5 features many new mechanics and gameplay, including a variety of unique enemies and tools for each level. Team members can now equip Sub-Personas and forge weapons in the Velvet room. Tactica also introduces some new combat mechanics, such as Charge and Retry.
■ New and unique enemies
Players will encounter numerous unique enemies, such as the Sumo-maton, who will immediately rush at you. There are also Guarded Geisha, a type of enemy that possesses special defenses that can neutralize all Gun, Melee, and Skill attacks from the front. Finally, there is Slimy Shinobi, who possesses the ability to create clones.

■ Countless types of mechanical equipment
Every level in Tactica is filled with strange items! Surveillance cameras will summon reinforcements if you come into their view. The explosive barrel will burn when it receives a certain amount of damage. The elevator can move players with just the press of a button, while the Jump Pad will help them soar from one location to another. Make the most of each piece of equipment to gain an extra advantage in battle!
■ Wait a turn to Charge!
Phantom Thieves need to stay calm and collected before entering the match! If the character ends the turn without taking any action, Charge is activated to assist the following turn. Each character will receive different benefits when Charge is active.
■ Equip Sub-Personas to characters in the team
Players can equip Sub-Persona to members of the Phantom Thieves. Equipping a Sub-Persona will increase the character’s stats and allow them to use that Persona’s Unique Skills and Inherited Skills. Personas possess skills like Dia and Zio that require SP points to activate just like some support skills, so experiment with different Personas to find the ideal combination for each character!
■ Forge weapons in the Velvet room
Players combine two Personas together to create a weapon. While each weapon will have a specific Persona combination requirement, paired weapons have better stats than shop weapons.
■ Unlimited number of Stages
From Hard Mode onwards, enemies will have more health and deal more damage. On higher difficulties, players need to plan their moves carefully to ensure they do not hurt allies, making each level much more difficult. The Retry function gives players the opportunity to freely challenge the game screen without limiting the number of tries.
Players can pre-order Persona 5 Tactica now to receive limited rewards of Orpheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro. Platforms available for pre-order include Microsoft Store (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows), PlayStation Store (PS4, PS5) and Steam. Nintendo Switch users can add titles to their Wish List.
