Almost a year since its reveal, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught – free character collection role-playing game of NetherRealm – has ended beta testing and is available on iOS and Android stores.
The most attractive point of Mortal Kombat: Onslaught is based on a “mobile exclusive” storyline and promises “high-quality graphics with cinematic cutscenes and bone-crushing combat”. In Onslaught, players will forces with Raiden to stop the Elder God Shinnok from collecting his relics and restoring his evil power. The game will revolve around large-scale real-time battles, featuring up to ten warriors at once. at a time, requiring players to properly adjust their four-character team to overcome increasingly difficult challenges.
More specifically, players will recruit a team of fighters from a list of characters divided into groups including Assassins, Warriors, Snipers, and Defenders with the appearance of familiar faces such as Sub-Zero, Liu Kang , Scorpion and Kitana as well as some rarer characters like Cyrax and Smoke. Each character has its own special moves, relationships, and passive skills. Players need to develop their character’s fighting skills, level up their equipment, and equip Relics.
Players can enhance skills in Boss Tower and Chasm modes. Onslaught also has a PvP mode in the Arena, where players can challenge other players in real-time matches to receive rewards and climb the leaderboards through different PvP seasons.
