Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth forces players to pay extra for the New Game Plus feature

You intend to buy Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, complete the game and then play New Game Plus? Be prepared to spend more money than the $70 you spent on the standard version of the game.

According to the game’s official website, only the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions have the New Game Plus mode. In addition to this feature, the aforementioned versions also give you the ability to explore additional dungeons and obtain Sujimons, resort guests, and special outfits.

There are achievements and trophies included with the paid DLC, which is normal, but the fact that New Game Plus is also included is strange. Games often include New Game Plus in the base package, some games will add this feature after launch. However, unlike Infinite Wealth, this feature is often added as a free update, such as in God of War: Ragnarok and Alan Wake 2.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will launch on January 26, 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Initial reviews of the game from review sites that have played it early have been quite positive, giving a nostalgic feeling about the entire series. However, the above-mentioned confusing decision of SEGA will definitely bring unnecessary negative reviews, when it makes gamers feel forced to buy the Deluxe or Ultimate version.
