Last weekend Douluo Continent: Soul Master Confrontation – title mobile games of the developer 37Games, has just released a new propaganda trailer for the game. However, not long after, the Soul Master’s trailer was criticized by many players for being plagiarized.
Launched on July 22, Douluo Dai Continent: Soul Master Vs Quyet is a potential 3D game adapted from the famous Douluo Dai Luc animated series. The game promises to recreate the classic, most anticipated details of the original IP such as Tieu Van’s death or the battle at Gia Lang Quan – this is also the content in the game’s latest trailer.
This trailer immediately caused controversy because it was too similar to the images in the film Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers. From the comparison video, it can be seen that the scenery, actions, and appearances of the characters in Soul Master Confrontation are all very similar to Shadowbringers, even the effects are quite similar, which makes the gaming community extremely angry.
For those who don’t know, Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers is the third expansion pack of Final Fantasy 14, released Square Enix released in July 2019. Shadowbringers is set in First, a parallel dimension that is gradually approaching the end of the world… Temporarily, neither 37Games nor Square Enix have commented on this plagiarism suspicion.
