After 1 year since the first time Sony announced God of War: Ragnarok, today, finally, players get their first look at this masterpiece. The game’s trailer was announced during Sony’s recent PlayStation event, starting with the scene Atreus argued with his father about his fate when the Ragnarok disaster struck.
As introduced previously, God of War: Ragnarok will be set in Norse mythology with the appearance of familiar gods such as Odin, Thor or Loki… In the previous 3 games, the god of war Kraots destroyed all the Greek gods, this will most likely happen again in Ragnarok. Along with Thor, Freya – who was once an ally to father and son Kratoswill become the main villain in the game, both of these characters have lost loved ones because of Kratos and Atreus.
As revealed on the official God of War blog, many conflicts in Ragnarok arise from finding out what the deceased mother wants and concerns about Atreus’s identity. Atreus also began to have disputes with his father over many decisions and wanted to prove himself as a potential warrior.
God of War: Ragnarok will launch exclusively on PS4 and PS5, unfortunately Sony did not reveal any information about the release date. Last year, the company said the game would reach gamers in 2021, but it seems we have to wait another year to embark on a new journey with Kratos and Atreus.
