Lethal Company has become extremely popular since its release last year and received a lot of praise for its combination of horror and humor. The above success seems to have caused some people to want to profit by releasing Lethal Company clones on mobile devices.

In Lethal Company’s Discord server, a moderator wrote that the mobile version was created without the developer’s permission and is most likely a scam. Developer Zeekerss has asked players not to associate with fake games, to avoid “evil intentions lurking in those games”.

Lethal Company-related apps are still appearing on the Apple and Google stores at the time of writing. In Apple’s App Privacy for Lethal Company, developer Aytac Kahveci points out that “an app’s security practices may include data handling,” meaning the developer can uses data to track users “across apps and websites owned by other companies”.

Lethal Company is not the only successful game to suffer mimic on mobile devices. Developer Pocketpair also had to warn players about the unofficial mobile version of Palworld.
