CD Projekt Red revealed that the expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Libertyhas exceeded 5 million copies sold by 2023.
CD Projekt Red posted the announcement on X/Twitter and thanked all the fans for helping the game reach such an important milestone. Although CD Projekt did not provide any other information, as Gamehub reported, the studio is continuing to work on other projects after the release of Phantom Liberty.
Currently, CD Projekt Red is working on several projects, including a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and a new original IP, codenamed Hadar. The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris, and a remake of the first Witcher game are also in development. The company also reaffirmed that it is not interested in being acquired by the big guys and values its independence.
Back in November 2023, CD Projekt Red revealed that Phantom Liberty had sold 4.3 million copies since its release date on September 26. In the final days of the old year, it became clear that this number had increased significantly.
