Capcom announced two showcases next week to show off details of its upcoming games.
The first exhibition takes place on Thursday, March 8 at 6 a.m. Vietnam time, and will introduce Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a blockbuster RPG that gamers have been waiting for a long time, promising to become a serious competitor for the GOTY of the year.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is scheduled to release on March 22, so this will likely be our last look at the game before launch.
As for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, the game was first announced at last year’s Xbox Showcase and is a beautiful action game steeped in Japanese folklore. It will appear a day earlier at the Xbox Partner Preview, but perhaps Capcom will share some more information during its exhibition.
The trailer for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has been released. “A new story about Kami awaits,” the trailer description reads. “Witness the epic clash between the spirit world and mortals, featuring traditional Japanese aesthetics.”
It looks like we’ll be playing a sword and magic-wielding male protagonist with third-person action gameplay. According to Capcom, gamers will be immersed in Japanese tradition and folklore, with beautiful, detailed costumes, bizarre creatures and some stunning kaleidoscopic effects.
Following the first exhibition, on Monday March 11 at 5pm Vietnam time, players will be able to visit Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Now in the second exhibition.
Monster Hunter Stories was shown at the recent Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase – it’s a Switch remake of the original 3DS game.
Also, could we be getting a new fighter in Street Fighter 6? Another season in Exoprimal? Or more monsters to hunt in the mobile game Monster Hunter Now? All are very much worth looking forward to.
