Apple recently made the unsurprising move of filing a petition appeal in antitrust trial against Epic – maker of Unreal Engine and Fortnite. Despite winning nine out of ten charges brought by Epic Games, Apple’s single loss was so severe that many called it a major victory for Epic.

Specifically, Apple is ordered to allow mobile applications to direct consumers to external payment methods. That helps apps avoid sharing 15-30% of their profits with Apple. This declaration is effective beginning December 9.
