Hollow Knight: Silksong is the third most popular game on Steam, behind only Hades 2 and Manor Lords, and is also one of the most popular games. most awaited on Game Pass following Microsoft’s deal with Team Cherry. In June 2022, Microsoft included Hollow Knight: Silksong in the Xbox-Bethesda Showcase and announced that the game would be released 12 months later. Xbox also seems to confirm that the Hollow Knight sequel will indeed arrive within a year.
However, in May of last year, Team Cherry announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong had pushed back its launch plan to the first half of 2023 and would update with more information as the game gets closer to its release date. At the time, Team Cherry’s head of marketing and publishing, Matthew Griffin, said: “We had planned for a release in the first half of 2023, but development is still ongoing. We’re excited about how the game is shaping up and the scale of it has become quite large, so we want to take our time to make it the best it can be.”
Hollow Knight fans are looking forward to news from Team Cherry. Even though five years have passed since Silksong first surfaced, the developer says it is still working hard on the game.
