It is known that TinyBuild spent up to 17.1 million USD to take ownership of Bad Pixel. Including Bad Pixel, this year alone this US-headquartered publisher has acquired up to 5 game development studios: Animal, We Five Games, Hungry Couch and Moon Moose. With only 3 months left until the end of the year, it’s unclear whether TinyBuild will close orders for any more studios or not.

When asked about the reason for acquiring Bad Pixel, Alex Nichiporchik – CEO of TinyBuild frankly answered:

Deadside is considered a potential project of Bad Pixel currently. The game was announced in April 2020 and earned $3 million for the developer last year. In the near future, TinyBuild will cooperate with Bad Pixel to add new features and mechanisms to this game.
