Martin wrote: “Miyazaki and team from FromSoftware were doing groundbreaking stuff with beautiful graphics and all they wanted from me was to sketch out a deep, dark world as the setting for the game they planned to create. And coincidentally, I love creating worlds and writing imaginary histories.”

Although admitting that he is not a gamer, the famous writer expressed his love for some classic masterpieces such as Railroad Tycoon, Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Master of Orion. Mr. Martin also revealed that his contributions to Elden Ring was completed many years ago while also confirming his world-building laid the foundation for the game

However, outside of the world context, the creator of Game of Thrones did not write any dialogue or script for Elden Ring. In the post, he also expressed his satisfaction with the finished project, commenting that “Elden Ring looks amazing.”

Elden Ring will release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X on February 25, 2022.
