News about the production of an animated film based on Injustice: Gods Among Us was spread by fans when they discovered hidden hints in the blu-ray versions of many other DC animated films. Recently, the studio’s creative director was behind Injustice and Mortal KombatMr. Ed Boon officially announced the project and revealed the cover art and release date on October 19.
Injustice is based on the first game in the series and the popular comic book version by author Tom Taylor. Comic book fans probably won’t want the movie to change too much from the original. The voice cast for Injustice includes Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Anson Mount as Batman, Justin Hartley as Superman and Kevin Pollak as the Joker. Some veteran voice actors who also joined Injustice: Gods Among Us are Laura Bailey as Lois Lane, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master and Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom.
