Halo sequel has been in development since 2022?

Recently, former artistic director Justin Dinges of 343 Industries – game developer Haloupdated his LinkedIn profile, in which Justin wrote that he worked on the unannounced Halo sequel from April 2022 to March 2023 – when he left 343 Industries to join Lost Boys. Interactive.

Meanwhile, 343 Industries’ current senior character system designer Ian Slutz is working with Unreal Engine 5. This game engine launched in April 2022, more than a year after Halo Infinite was released, showing that the studio is at least developing something new and does not rule out the possibility of it being a Halo sequel.

This information comes about a month after 343 Industries gave the latest update for the future of Halo Infinite. Accordingly, the studio has no plans to release single-player content for the game, at least at this time.

As is known, since the launch of Halo Infinite, the development trajectory of this IP has encountered many difficulties. Expectations for Halo’s future dwindled along with the Microsoft staff cuts, directly affecting 343 Industries. At that time, there were constantly rumors emerging that this popular game series would have to end here. 343 Industries had to reassure fans by pledging to continue bringing epic stories, new modes and unique content to Halo in the future. Therefore, we can completely believe in the possibility that a new sequel to the series has been or will be developed.
