Square Enix revealed some new information at the event Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 in London, offering a closer look at the expansion Dawntrail upcoming game. The news includes a new class, a collaboration with FF XI, and a crossover with the latest Final Fantasy game called The Path Infernal. Additionally, the Open Beta for the Xbox Series X|S version will take place from mid-January to February 2024.
New class – Viper revolves around the ability to fight in close combat with two one-handed weapons but can combine to form new weapons that deal huge damage quickly.
Raid event cooperates with Final Fantasy XI called Echoes of Vana’diel, named after the world where the game takes place. Still Crossover event with Final Fantasy XVI is a quest series that allows the player to control Ifrit and the Torgal mount. Main character of FF16, Clive Rosfield will also participate in the event with players. More information about the expansion will be shared at the next Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival taking place in Tokyo in January next year.
Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail expansion is scheduled to release summer 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This expansion will bring a series of exciting content, such as a collaboration event with Fall Guys, increasing the level cap from 90 to 100, many new jobs, copies as well as new equipment. This is also the first time Xbox players have the opportunity to experience the game after nearly 10 years.
