Last night, the famous Japanese game publisher Konami organized a livestream event Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next. Within the framework of the program, Konami also introduced to players two new games under this IP: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel.
According to a brief introduction from Konami, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be a title card game launching on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and PC (via Steam). Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is also the first game in the franchise to support up to 4K resolution. Konami also plans to organize a world championship tournament for this game.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel is a card game that supports up to 4 players. The game will be released on iOS and Android. For the time being, the developer has kept the details as well as the specific launch date of the game confidential.
Besides announcing two new games, Konami also revealed more information about other names in the Yu-Gi-Oh! family. Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyо̄ Battle Royale!! is expected to be available on Nintendo Switch on August 12 in Japan and coming to Western markets this fall. The game includes characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, the anime premiered in April 2020.
